My girlfriends are all departing to Vegas in the next 2 days- sans moi, how rude! While they are ditching me for greener pastures, I still love them and am happy to help them solve their fashion dilemma- how to dress fall season appropriate in +30 C temperatures.

Those of us in Canada, depending on where you live, we usually transition nicely into cozy sweaters and boots by October, so it’s hard to wrap your head around dressing “fall” while not. There are some great ways to incorporate season appropriate styles in your fall fashion wardrobe. A few thoughts to keep in mind:

• look for fall colors in lightweight fabrics
• layer cardis, shirts, jackets, scarfs that are also lightweight when you can
• stay away from neons and overly summery fabrics like eyelet and linen and brightly colored florals
• embrace open toed shoes, shooties, and sandals in dark colors
